Laura & Aldrin first met at Farro where their love of food brought them together!
Aldrin’s passion for South East Asian Cuisine sparked an all time high after taking Laura with him on a trip back home to his roots in Manila. After experiencing the variety of food & culture that the Philippines had to offer, Laura was instantly hooked and couldn’t get enough!
Both being in the hospitality industry for several years, the pair decided it was time to take the leap and adventure on their own and felt that a Food Truck would be the perfect way to spread the taste & love of the Philippines in Auckland. The Filipino Food movement is definitely becoming a topic that everyone is starting to talk about globally.
Aldrin and Laura feel that Filipino food is very underrated in the Asian food spectrum and often gets overlooked, even though there is a mass Pinoy community with in Auckland the cuisine is just starting to surface now and the duo wanted to bring their take on traditional Pinoy dishes that Filipino’s know and love but put their own modernised spin on it.
Filipino Cuisine holds a unique place in both their hearts and they knew that taking the risk would help with giving a bit of spotlight to a cuisine that is so rich in culture and diversity.
